About the Artist
Artistic Journey
Texture and colour are key elements in my work, as I explore various handmade and digital methods of working. I have an interest in all different forms of working, focussing mainly on photography, print and tangible media.
Over the course of my time at Gray’s School of Art I have explored different types of printing, as well as different ways to include textiles and 3-Dimensional objects in my work. Experiments have included everything to making my own scented paper, to cyanotyping on cotton wool. Bookbinding, embroidery and knitting, lino and risograph printing and the dye rooms are just some of the ways I have branched out and played with mixed medias and methods.
Wildlife and the outdoors have a strong impact on my working, my family farm and the surrounding countryside providing inspiration for the work I create and helping create a cache of colours, textures and shapes to play with.
