Esperston

This photo series aims to provide an in depth look into farming, specifically how I experienced it growing up, and continue to into my 20’s. It also shows farmers, animals, the land and the bonds between them from a more intimate, inside perspective.

This is a photography based project that aims to show not just ‘a day in the life’ of a farmer, but also looks at the behind the scenes, from the environment that they work in, to the characters they meet and interact with. This project is my attempt to show the history of my and my family’s connection to farming and to share my home farm with historic media provided by both my mother and myself, to newer, more purposeful imagery I have shot in the last few months. Family means everything to us and it is my belief that Esperston Farm has brought us closer together in a way that no other typical living environment could.
